Description Fading Roots is a 2-LP bootleg album by The Cure released in 1987, comprising live material from a 1980 concert in Sydney, Australia, and existing material from sessions with John Peel and Kid Jensen.Some of the session tracks have been cut short. The audio quality of the live tracks is surprisingly good for a bootleg, although they include cue breaks between songs.The cover photo of Smith was taken in approximately 1984, while the back photo was taken around 1986.Both albums have been mislabeled. The first LP is listed as being by the artist The MDs and published by Nightingale Music, while the second LP is listed as being by the artist National Health and published by Paradigm.
This album was recorded at a live performance in 1980 in Sydney and from various sessions done for . Some songs are cut short and have pauses in between tracks making it hard to distinguish what tracks are the concert and what tracks are the John Peel and Kid Jensen sessions.
